MEDICATION ASSISTED TREATMENT PROGRAM (MAT)

Reach your recovery goals by combining medication & support.

Seafield offers Medication Assisted Treatment, MAT, to patients who seek to mitigate the physical symptoms of addiction. At Seafield, our MAT programs are carefully monitored by professionals, making it safer for patients, while offering another tool to help end active addiction.

There are several FDA-approved medications that are safe to use in treating addiction & substance abuse. At Seafield, we offer Naltrexone & Buprenorphine to support our patients’ recovery.

When administered & monitored by our medical team, these medications are safe & can make many of the physical effects of detoxing & addiction recovery more manageable.

If you or a loved one has struggled to cope with detoxing or giving up a substance in the past, MAT may be the extra help needed to help ease into sobriety. Patients who choose MAT are under the care of the Seafield medical team at all times. Medication doses are gradually decreased, allowing the patient to ease into sobriety gently.

Detox is an intense part of addiction treatment at the start of one’s recovery. Once patients have finished detox, they're through the worst of the process.. Medically Assisted Treatment helps patients who have detoxed to continue their recovery slowly & gradually. This allows them to focus on mental & emotional recovery as well as breaking their physical addiction.

If you’re unsure if medically assisted detox or medically assisted treatment is needed, we’re here to help.
