UNIFORMED SERVICE MEMBERS PROGRAM: A TRAUMA AND RECOVERY PROGRAM DEDICATED TO UNIFORMED SERVICE MEMBERS AND FIRST RESPONDERS.
Trauma and Addiction have an intimate and destructive relationship; it cuts a path of destruction for generations in the lives of many, leaving hopes and dreams unfulfilled, families shattered, and lives lost to this deadly combination. Seafield Center and Seafield Services are committed to provide trauma informed and addictions treatment with a specialized concentration on the needs of our Uniformed Service Members. All Seafield staff are trauma informed. Seafield is a veteran owned business dedicated to serving the needs of this special population and their families.

Seafield’s Veteran Specific Treatment Services are offered in our inpatient and outpatient locations.

Veterans Specific Services Offered

The inpatient treatment provided is Evidence Based Individual and Group Counseling that focus on safety and stabilization for Uniformed Service Members (USM) who are experiencing trauma and addiction.

Psycho Educational Group Interventions
Motivational Interviewing
Motivational Enhancement Therapy
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
12 step Facilitation Therapy
Community Reinforcement Therapy.

Four specialized one hour group workshops meet weekly for USM PTS/PTSD and USM SUD

USM PTS/PTSD Workshop meets Monday and Tuesday

*Identifying the effects of Occupational Stress and Trauma
*Identifying the Intimate connection between PTS/PTSD and Addiction
*Understanding the meaning of overwhelming body sensations, intrusive emotions, thoughts, and distorted cognitive -- schema
*Activation Identification and diffusion
*Brain Body Counseling Techniques to reduce the physical and psychological manifestation of traumatic material
*Understanding the importance of Peer Support for Trauma and Addiction Recovery
*Introduction to Trauma Anonymous

Note: 2x a month a peer military member comes in to share their experience, strength and hope with the group.

USM Substance Abuse workshop meets Wednesday and Friday 

*Occupational Stressors and Consequences
*Impact of Stigma
*Returning to work or deployment issues
*Relapse Prevention Strategies and Aftercare Planning
*The Role of 12 step fellowships (i.e. AA, Trauma Anonymous), Smart Recovery and Peer support 

In addition to the weekly workshops individual counseling sessions and family sessions are facilitated.
