Seafield is pleased to introduce a new recovery resource that broadens support options for patients. Beginning Sunday, 3/8/26, we will host SMART Recovery meetings at our Westhampton Beach location!
WHAT IS SMART RECOVERY?
SMART Recovery (Self-Management and Recovery Training) is an evidence-based, peer-led program utilizing CBT/REBT-inspired techniques. Meetings are practical, focusing on skill development; members work on boosting motivation, managing urges and cravings, controlling thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, and creating a balanced life, with an emphasis on mindfulness. Members use tools and worksheets to address real challenges and leave with an actionable plan.
WHY OPTIONS MATTERS IN RECOVERY
At Seafield, we understand that recovery isn't one size fits all. Engagement improves when patients can select supports that align with their values, culture, and learning styles. While some may prefer 12-step programs, others face barriers related to faith-based language, sponsorship, or meeting cultures, especially patients with trauma histories, social anxiety, or negative past experiences. When only one option appears “appropriate,” it can limit engagement, even among motivated individuals.
Providing a variety of options increases the likelihood that patients will sustain support, revisit after setbacks, and build a lasting recovery network. This fosters autonomy, helping patients choose supports that reflect their identities and needs, which is crucial for empowerment and enduring change.
WHY SEAFIELD IS A GOOD FIT
SMART complements our existing clinical work by strengthening coping strategies, relapse prevention, emotion regulation, and cognitive restructuring. It serves as a bridge from treatment to community by providing patients with consistent, skills-based tools they can practice outside treatment. Adding SMART enhances our continuum of care with another credible, structured recovery pathway, which is especially beneficial for those who thrive on concrete skills and collaborative problem-solving. Patients practice making values-based decisions (“I can respond differently to urges,” “I can handle difficult moments without using,” “I can build a life worth staying sober for”). For many, this approach feels attainable and hopeful!

I’ve been looking for ways to speed up my recovery from old sports injuries, and finding https://ways2well.com/blog/benefits-of-stem-cells-how-they-could-help-improve-your-health was a huge help for my research. It’s amazing to see how regenerative medicine is shifting the focus toward actually repairing tissue instead of just masking the pain.
Hi all, I came across this page while helping someone compare waste service options in the UK. We were specifically looking at Leicester, and this site showed up. As I read through it, I opened https://affordablewastemanagement.co.uk/commercial-waste-services-leicester/ and found the layout quite user-friendly. It made it easy to get a general understanding without feeling lost.
All this feels like a genuinely helpful addition because recovery is not one size fits all. Some people connect with shared stories, while others really benefit from practical tools they can use the same day. I like that SMART Recovery focuses on skills, habits, and building a more balanced life step by step. Real change usually happens in those small daily choices, not just in big emotional moments. It reminds me of how people look for something simple like an ro phone number when they need clear support without extra confusion. Having more pathways like this can make recovery feel more reachable, personal, and hopeful for many people.
Ik waardeer de proportionele integratie van vele variabelen. De logica evolueert zonder onnodige nadruk. De website biedt verdere contextuele informatie over het onderwerp. Interactieve service-ecosystemen verbreden de reikwijdte van de analyse.
